Although there are lots of options for finding restaurants (such as Yelp), sometimes you just don’t know what you’re in the mood for and want options presented to you. And even when you find restaurants that you want to try out, it’s often hard to find people to eat with.
Matchaurant presents options that suit your eating preferences and recommends restaurant cards based off previously-liked choices. Based off the Tinder swipe-right, swipe-left system, users are able to swipe on the eateries that they are interested in, saving them as choices for later. If the user knows what genre of food they want, they can filter their recommendations, or go for a more random deck. In the end, the user is able to view all their “Matched” restaurants, and when they open a specific card, they can view more information about that choice.
Eating out is a social event. By connecting to Facebook or their contacts, users are able to see if their friends have “matched” the same restaurant as them, and are able to directly contact them to ask if they want to go out and eat with them.
